While our members are protected, GCTFCU has identified a fraud scheme that could affect others in our community. An unknown party has issued fraudulent cashier's checks that appear to be issued by GCTFCU, but they are fake. Unsuspecting recipients who receive these checks may receive credit for them if deposited into their accounts until the check is returned as a fraudulent check and charged back to their account, potentially causing a loss.

If you receive a check from anyone you do not know, please understand that fraudsters will try to take advantage of you, especially during the holiday season. Report these types of situations to your local police with as much information as possible so these bad actors can be caught and punished.
