Funds Availability Policy Notice

In accordance with Federal Regulation CC, we need to inform you of our policy regarding your rights to draw funds against deposits you have made to any transaction accounts at our institution. Our funds availability policy is outlined below.

You should know that:

Certain deposits are available for withdrawal on the banking day of deposit (same day availability). This applies to: (1) cash deposits made in person; (2) electronic deposits; and (3) certain check deposits made in person (US Treasury Checks, US Postal Money Orders, FRB or FHLB Checks, Other Government Checks, Cashier, Teller or Certified Checks).
Proceeds from the deposits of most other checks will be made available the next banking day after the day of deposit (next day availability).
Under the following circumstances, GCTFCU may extend the funds’ available period up to seven (7) business days for withdrawal by cash or similar means.
- We believe a check you deposit will not be paid.
- You deposit checks totaling more than $5,525 on any one day.
- You re-deposit a check that has been returned unpaid.
- You have overdrawn your account repeatedly in the last six (6) months.
- There is an emergency, such as a failure of a computer or communications equipment.

We will notify you if we delay your ability to withdraw funds for any of above reasons, and we will tell you when the funds will be available.

However, the first $225 from the aggregate of all other deposits made on any given day will be available for withdrawal immediately.
